SUMMER AT LAST

Summer At Last

“Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers.”

Summer has arrived. Finally. Today I write from an overcast Burbank California, grateful that the temperatures are as cool as they were when I first moved here, over fifteen years ago. It's been a long time coming, this cooler summer weather. We are still wearing our sweaters when the sun sets and before she rises the next day. Nelly is back at my home and everyday the idea of adoption grows stronger.
Each morning I wake up a little less tired. I wonder could the depression be lifting for good? I worry, is the grip becoming just a little looser? I don't have much to say this month, except that I am once again full of gratitude (just ask my journal!).
If you find yourself wondering why I'm sharing photos of dogs and flowers, the answer is this- joy, pure, simple, unbridled joy. Spread that joy friends. Spread it like wildflowers.
